Pic of the Day

The pictures of the day come from earlier.  The kids and I played 2 hardcore games of UNO.  The first game, my oldest won.  The game took about 15 minutes to complete.  The second game however took about 30-45 minutes.  My oldest quit and it was left between my youngest daughter and I. We both played until she beat me with 2 yellow cards.

She beat me using a bit of strategy which is good. She skipped me then layed down her last card.  This shows that she is using fore-thought into her next movements.  Something she never used to do before.  I’m glad she is developing so well just like Anika.

The picture above is during the first game.  Kyra was singing a mini tune while Anika was just waiting for Kyra to take her turn.

This next picture is of Anika making mini-snowflakes with paper.  I decided to include this because she was teaching me a way to make snowflakes using a manner in which I had totally forgotten about.  It’s the method where you cut diamonds into the corners and open it up so a star appears in the middle of the snowflake.

The snowflakes themselves didn’t turn out well but it was worth the effort in either case.
